In the sacred temple town of Kumbakonam — the cultural heart of Tamil Nadu — Srishtirupikka has been breathing life into metal and stone for over three decades. Founded by Master Sculptor Mr. A.S. Sankhar Stapathi, a third-generation Sthapathi, our workshop stands as a living testament to the ancient Shilpa Shastra tradition that Kumbakonam and the neighbouring Swamimalai have preserved for centuries.
Our Heritage
The Stapathi lineage is not merely a profession — it is a sacred vocation. Sankhar Stapathi learned the art of sculpting bronze idols and casting panchaloha vigraham from his forebears who served temples across the Kaveri delta. Today, Srishtirupikka carries that tradition forward, combining time-honoured lost-wax (cire perdue) casting techniques with precise modern finishing to produce idols that meet both ritual specifications and aesthetic excellence.

- Panchaloha Idols — sacred five-metal (gold, silver, copper, iron, lead) vigraham for temple consecration and home worship
- Bronze God Idols — Murugan, Ganapathi, Vishnu, Shiva, Amman, Navagraha, 63 Nayanmargal, and all forms on request
- Temple Sheet Metal Works — Kavacham, Kavasam, Vahanam, Gopuram Kalasam in brass, copper, silver, and gold plate
- Temple Chariots (Ratham) — teakwood chariots clad in sculptured bronze sheet
